Palestinian said killed by IDF in northern West Bank

A 20-year-old Palestinian man was killed by IDF gunfire in Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Authority’s Health Ministry says. He is named as Osama Yasser Mohammed Kumail.

Local sources cited by WAFA, the PA’s official news agency, say Kumail was shot in the stomach near a cafe in Qabatiya and taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.

The IDF is yet to comment on the incident.

The military and Shin Bet said this morning that they had commenced wide-scale operations in the northern West Bank last night.
