Police arrest Meron rabbi for alleged sexual offenses
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePolice say that a leading communal rabbi from Meron in northern Israel has been arrested for alleged “serious sexual offenses.”
A statement from the Israel Police says the 54-year-old rabbi was arrested overnight following a covert investigation after multiple complaints were received.
The suspect is expected to be brought before a court for a remand hearing later today.
Police call on anyone who may also have been harmed by the suspect or have any knowledge of alleged crimes to come forward.
