Police confirm alleged attacker in critical condition
Police say the man who was shot while attempting to to stab Israeli security forces at a Jerusalem area checkpoint is in critical condition.
Earlier, the West Bank man approached the Hizme Checkpoint and apparently tried to stab security forces on duty, according to police.
Israeli troops opened fire on the alleged assailant.
The north Jerusalem crossing is closed until further notice.
