Report says IDF top brass supports Gaza ground operation
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe top generals in the Israel Defense Forces emphatically support a ground incursion into Gaza, which, they claim, would contribute significantly to the army’s effort to destroy the “terror infrastructures” of the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio’s veteran military correspondent Carmela Menashe is reporting.
The army is only waiting for the go-ahead from the political leadership, the generals say. The required forces are arrayed and prepared, and top officers say the next 36 hours will determine how the IDF is able to operate in the Strip.
The cabinet is expected to make its decision over the next two days.
