Report: Settlers open fire on Palestinian vehicles in village near Bethlehem
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsraeli settlers opened fire on Palestinian vehicles last night in the West Bank village of Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reports.
According to the report, a group of settlers entered the village, spread throughout it and fired at passing vehicles.
WAFA says the settlers also blocked the village’s main road, seized one of the vehicles and vandalized it before leaving the area.
There were no reports of injuries.

The reported attack comes a day after a deadly gunfight between settlers and Palestinians in the Palestinian village of Tell, in which two Israelis and four Palestinians were killed.
Following yesterday’s clash, a military official warned that there was an “atmosphere” of revenge among settlers, alongside calls to enter Palestinian villages and carry out attacks.
