Russian lawmaker said to have drowned in the Dead Sea
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA 68-year-old man who drowned in the Dead Sea earlier in the week has been identified as Russian millionaire lawmaker Vasily Tarasyuk, the Russian news agency Pravda reports.
Tarasyuk, a member of the far-right Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, was said to be vacationing in Israel.
His body is being returned to Russia for burial, the report says.
