Settler said to spray mace into home while Palestinian family sleeping at 4 a.m.

An Israeli activist says a settler from a nearby illegal outpost woke up a Palestinian family in the Bedouin hamlet outside the central West Bank village of Duma by spraying mace into their home.

The settler extremist is then filmed returning to the family’s home later in the morning to film and harass the residents.

Such tactics are part of a broader effort to drive Palestinians off lands in the West Bank’s Area C for settlers to expand their presence in the territory.

Hundreds of Bedouin families have been forced to flee their homes in the past year alone, with Israeli authorities doing little to crack down on the phenomenon.
