Short circuit in wires caused Jerusalem blaze
Police investigators determine that a fire in Jerusalem’s First Station Compound earlier today broke out due to an electrical wire that short circuited, and not because a Molotov Cocktail was hurled at the site, as was previously suspected.
The blaze caused serious damage to the compound, one of the capital’s most prominent recreational sites, and thousands of visitors were evacuated by police. Three vehicles were damaged in the fire as well, but no injuries were reported.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed after a short while to put out the flames.
