Top health official says no virus restrictions expected during Passover

Health Ministry Director-General Nachman Ash says no further coronavirus-related restrictions are expected in the coming weeks, despite a small rise in infections.
“We will not bring back the tests at schools,” Ash tells the Ynet news site, referring to antigen tests schoolkids had to take several times a week in order to come to class.
“As for the masks, we still have the masks indoors. We may consider removing them in the future, but at the moment we are at 10,000 daily infections,” Ash says.
“The numbers are still high, but most important thing is for cases not to be severe,” he says.
Ash says there won’t be any restrictions during the upcoming Passover holiday. When the pandemic started, Israel saw a strict lockdown during the holiday.
