US military says it wrapped up latest strikes on targets across Iran
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe US military says it completed its latest round of strikes on Iran that marked a 13th consecutive night of American attacks.
The latest wave of strikes lasted more than two hours, according to the US Central Command.
CENTCOM says the latest attacks concluded shortly before 5 a.m. local time.
The strikes were designed to “further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters” as the Americans push to regain control over the Strait of Hormuz and restore the flow of international shipping.
“CENTCOM targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communication networks, coastal surveillance sites and maritime capabilities,” it says in a statement.
