Border Police at the Qalandiya checkpoint near Jerusalem arrested a Palestinian woman Sunday after finding a knife in her bag.

Police said they were investigating the 47-year-old’s intentions, and she was transferred for questioning.

The Walla news site reported that she was from al-Azariya, less than two miles from Jerusalem.

Last month ago, a Palestinian man was arrested at the same checkpoint with a knife.

According to officials, in his initial questioning, he admitted that he had planned to carry out a stabbing attack.
