The IDF and security services are on alert ahead of the week-long Passover holiday, and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon ordered the restriction of entry into Israel for Palestinians from Sunday night through Tuesday night.
Palestinians will only be allowed to travel into Israel for humanitarian, medical or other exceptional reasons, per the discretion of the Civil Administration, the Israeli body that governs the West Bank.
The Israeli diplomatic service and Jewish community centers and synagogues abroad are on high alert over Passover as well, and will be vigilant for security threats.
