Arya enhances safety of Jewish communities
As rising global antisemitism forces Jewish communities to rethink security, Arya has innovated a unique safety awareness training platform tailored for Jewish organizations.
Jewish institutions are rethinking how they equip and empower staff and community members, without overwhelming them with fear.
“Alert citizens can serve as human sensors and ‘early warning systems’ for the detection of imminent attacks.” – Situational Terror Awareness for Civilians in US Homeland Security, 2020
Every parent, teacher, and executive understands the critical safety need in protecting our kids and our institutions, but there’s a growing tension. At many schools and JCCs, especially in the United States, security training has become synonymous with anxiety. That’s where Arya is different: we bridge the gap between wanting to live proud Jewish lives and facing the volatile environment in front of us. We’re in a new era of risk, and we need new risk-mitigating solutions, ones that work hand-in-hand with our organizations to complement and amplify existing infrastructure, broadening our communities’ circles of protection.
Arya is the first scalable, safety awareness training platform tailored for Jewish community organizations, built by some of our own.
For years, we’ve heard from our teachers, front desk staff, heads of schools, security subcommittees, after-school caregivers, security personnel and more, all asking what else they can do to keep our people secure and feeling safe.
Arya is our evidence-based answer to help the Diaspora improve our foundations of safety awareness. Even our name is intentional and deeply personal; it’s derived from the Hebrew word aryê — the bold and fierce lion — and it reflects a spirit of collective strength. Like a pride, we move in unison to protect our territory and one another.
“People at your site – whether security, staff, patrons, or visitors – are best placed to detect suspicious behavior. However, they will be more likely to report the behavior if it’s convenient and they are confident about how to do it.” – ANZCT, 2023
At Arya, the goal isn’t panic; it’s preparation. Arya carries that legacy of the Maccabi lion forward — using the power of knowledge and technology to help protect every person in every Jewish community. Our technology platform features on-demand, interactive modules that focus on real-world stories and scenarios set in familiar settings of Jewish life, clear action steps, and a means to build capability and confidence on the frontlines of our Jewish community. We designed Arya from our lived experiences.
“From start to finish, Arya made the process incredibly easy for our school to begin its safety training journey. What stood out most were the engaging visuals and interactive role plays. The content was thoughtfully crafted, timely, relevant, and grounded in real-world scenarios that strongly resonate with the Jewish community today. Unlike many trainings that can feel overwhelming, this one struck the right balance: clear, practical, and emotionally supportive.” – Jo Jacobsen, School Psychologist, Moriah College
Over 2,700 people at 125+ organizations have already trained on Arya’s platform across the Diaspora. That’s 10,000+ course enrollments, with over 85% of learners reporting feeling increased confidence and capability, and not a single report of “less confident.”
In 2025, everyone who works at a Jewish communal institution needs to have a strong foundation of safety awareness. This growing community deserves a top-tier solution that fits their needs and lifestyle.
As the world feels increasingly against us, Arya is here for this moment, making safety awareness easy.
