Two men were killed in the Jerusalem suburb of Beit Shemesh on Friday when a car crashed into the electric golf cart they were riding in.

Two boys, said to be about 13, who were also in the golf cart, were taken to Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem with moderate chest injuries.

Police suspect that the driver of the car tried to flee the scene and then flipped over. She was lightly injured.

“Two men about 50 years old in the electric vehicle were unconscious and one of them was trapped in the vehicle,” a Magen David Adom paramedic said.

“We tried to treat them and resuscitate them, but their injuries were too severe and we were forced to declare them dead at the scene,” the paramedic added.
