The Military Police arrested a combat soldier from the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade on suspicion of raping a female soldier on Friday.

The woman met with the suspect, a lone soldier, at the Soldiers’ Home in south Tel Aviv, where she claimed that the rape took place, Channel 10 reported Sunday.

The woman filed a police complaint stating that she and the defendant, whom she had met some time before, went to her room to drink alcohol together on the last day of the Passover festival.

During their meeting, she said, they had sexual relations to which she did not consent.

The police handed the complaint over to the army’s Criminal Investigations Department, which arrested the soldier and transferred him for questioning.

His remand was extended during a hearing in military court.

He denied the charges against him, claiming that the sexual relations were consensual.
