There ain’t no flies on the Toronto Raptors, who beat the Brooklyn Nets 115-113 Wednesday night to take a 3-2 lead in their first round series of the NBA playoffs.

And there ain’t no lint on Raptor fans, who, thanks to Jewish rapper Drake, were given official Raptors lint rollers before the game at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. The handy cleaning tools were a marketing gag quickly rolled out by Proctor & Gamble’s Bounce brand together with Drake’s OVO record label after video footage of the fastidious rap singer cleaning his pants with a lint roller while sitting court side at Game 2 of the series on April 22 went viral. (Here is the scene as an animated GIF.)

There were only 1,200 of the lint rollers with the Raptors and OVO logos handed out, so not every Toronto fan in attendance last night got one. However, many were able to snag similar rollers at an outside area off arena property thanks to IKEA, which also jumped on the court side personal grooming bandwagon.

Drake, a proud Toronto native who has collaborated with Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, among others, has long been a booster of his hometown’s basketball team. Back in 2010, he said in an interview that he would support the Raptors through thick and thin.

“I am Raptors fan to the death. We just, I (sigh) … I’m a Raptors fan. I’m very patriotic about my city…We’ll pull it together, Toronto is a great city,” he said. “We’ve had some great players, we have a great facility, great spirit. I think eventually Toronto could be one of the top contenders in the league, I hope.”

Lest you think that this kind of silliness (Who cleans his pants with a lint roller at a basketball game — let alone while sitting court side in full view of TV cameras?!) is all fluff, you should just be aware that the Drake lint rollers are going for a pretty penny on eBay today. You’ll need more than just lint in your pocket to pay for them.
