A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death Monday morning in a fight on the beach in Ashdod. Two others were lightly injured in the melee, which involved as many as 20 people. 

Paramedics confirmed the man’s death at the scene after an unsuccessful attempt to resuscitate the victim. The two injured men were taken to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot for treatment.

Police launched an investigation into the incident and arrested seven suspects.

Also on Monday morning, a man in his twenties was stabbed in Petah Tikva. Paramedics treated him and brought him to Beilinson Hospital in the city in serious but stable condition with stab wounds to his upper body and limbs.

Police arrested two suspects, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old.
