Police found the body of a 2-year-old boy in a well Thursday afternoon after a huge search to locate the toddler who had wandered off from his family home earlier in the day.
During the morning, the boy’s family alerted police that he had disappeared on his own from their home in the Bedouin town of Hura, northeast of Beersheba.
Large numbers of police searched for the boy in the surrounding wilderness of the northern Negev desert, including various pits and cisterns in the area.
In the afternoon police discovered his body in a well.
Along with foot patrols police had deployed air units, mounted officers, dog handlers and trackers to search for the boy.
