Palestinian cab hits four soldiers in West Bank

A Palestinian driver hit four soldiers with his taxi on a West Bank road outside Jerusalem on Tuesday, before fleeing from the scene.

It was unclear if it was an accident or an attack.

Channel 2 TV reported that police believe the crash was likely unintentional.

One of the soldiers was moderately wounded, while the others suffered light injuries. They were treated on the scene and then rushed to Jerusalem’s Shaare Tzedek Hospital.

According to Channel 2, the taxi collided with an army vehicle, which then struck soldiers standing nearby.

The incident occurred near the settlement of Neve Daniel in Gush Etzion, a cluster of settlements south of Jerusalem.

“Our vehicle broke down when we were on the way to bring supplies to our base. While we were waiting to be picked up, the Palestinian taxi rammed into a vehicle that crashed into us,” one of the soldiers told Ynet.

“It looked like it was intentional and it was scary,” he said.

Security forces began searching the area for the driver.
