Peace Now plants giant poster in Obama’s flight path

Activists from Peace Now on Tuesday placed a giant sign in an open field near Israel’s international airport, hoping to convey a message to US President Barack Obama even before his plane lands.
“The purpose of the initiative is to directly address Obama, and let him hear the voices of the people who want peace and the advancement of the peace process,” Peace Now Secretary Yariv Oppenheimer told The Times of Israel.
The sign — measuring 825 square meters (8880 sq.ft.) — reads “We the people want peace,” in Hebrew and in English and was fixed at an angle intended to be visible to the American president from the windows of Air Force One as it nears Ben Gurion Airport.
