Authorities were frantically searching Friday for Avraham Cohen, who left his Beersheba old age home on Wednesday and has not been heard from since.
Volunteers, army trackers and Beersheba police have combed the city since Thursday for the 84-year-old Cohen.
A heat wave is expected to hit Israel over the weekend that could pose a health risk to an elderly man outdoors in the desert city. Temperatures in Beersheba are expected to hit 42° Celsius (107°F).
Cohen has short white hair, a medium build, and is 1.65 meters (just over 5’4″) in height. He speaks Hebrew.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve white buttoned shirt, light-gray pants and black shoes.
