Two teens arrested for assault of Arab taxi driver
Police believe that suspects carried out the attack for nationalistic motives

Two teenagers were arrested last week on suspicion of assaulting an Arab taxi driver in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo, the police revealed Wednesday.
According to the Jerusalem police department’s nationalist crime unit, the two adolescents forced the driver to pull over to the side of the road, where they attacked him with a knife. The police said the attack was likely a hate crime carried out for nationalistic motives.
During their interrogation, police say the two admitted to the offenses, adding that they had planned to rob the cab driver as well.
An indictment will be filed against the alleged attackers on Friday and both teenagers will remain in custody until the case concludes, police officials said.
