West Bank closure goes into effect for Passover
For two days starting Sunday at midnight, Palestinians will only be allowed to travel for humanitarian or medical purposes

A two-day general closure went into effect Sunday at midnight for Palestinian cities and villages in the West Bank.
In light of the current security situation, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon decided to restrict the entry of West Bank Arabs into Israel during Passover Eve and the first day of Passover. Palestinians will only be allowed to travel for humanitarian, medical or other exceptional reasons, per the discretion of the Civil Administration, the Israeli body that governs the West Bank.
The IDF plans to lift the closure Tuesday at midnight.
