IDF investigating reports of attempted stabbing in West Bank

Palestinian woman reportedly approached guards outside settlement of Hashmonaim, failed to heed calls to stop

The IDF on Saturday was investigating reports of an attempted stabbing attack at a checkpoint near the West Bank city of Qalqilya.

According to reports in Hebrew-language media, a Palestinian woman approached the checkpoint near the settlement of Hashmonaim, ignoring calls by security guards to stop.

The woman was arrested and taken into custody for further questioning. She reportedly sustained light injuries during her arrest.

No Israelis were reported injured in the incident.
