Palestinians on a motorcycle hurled an explosive at Israeli troops near Nablus in the northern West Bank, the military said Sunday night.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the soldiers fired at the two suspects after they threw the improved device.

“Hits were identified,” an IDF statement said.

There was no immediate word on the suspects’ condition.

No Israeli soldiers were injured.

The incident comes amid increased tensions in the West Bank amid a military operation in the area following a series of terror attacks beginning in March that claimed the lives of 19 people. The ensuing raids sparked clashes that left at least 30 Palestinians dead since mid-March.
