An IDF soldier was found Monday stabbed to death in his home in the Netanya-area town of Kfar Yona and police launched a massive manhunt for his older brother, who is suspected of the killing

The victim, 18, was discovered by his mother, who alerted emergency services.

Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the apartment on Sharet Street were unable to resuscitate the victim, who had multiple stab wounds all over his body. Medics declared him dead at the scene.

Police were searching for the victim’s bother, identified as Argao Asars, who is suspected of the killing. Asars was at the family home earlier but apparently left after the time the victim was stabbed.

Investigators believe the stabbing may have resulted from an argument between the two brothers.

Police asked for anyone with information on the location of Asars to immediately contact police.

Israeli media said the victim had joined the army some two months ago.
