Israeli security forces clashed with Palestinians while carrying out a raid overnight, the military said Saturday.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, rioters in the northern West Bank village of Jaba’ threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at soldiers and Border Police after they arrested a man suspected of illegally driving Palestinians across the “seam zone” area along the security barrier.
No Israeli troops were hurt in the clashes.
The IDF said soldiers also arrested a terror suspect in Bethlehem and confiscated several weapons.
Both suspects were transferred for questioning.
The military has stepped up operations in the West Bank following a series of terror attacks beginning in March that claimed the lives of 19 people. The ensuing raids sparked clashes that left at least 30 Palestinians dead since mid-March.
