3,000 people haven’t received COVID test results 10 days after returning from abroad: report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIn an ongoing failure to prevent COVID-19 carriers from entering Israel, Channel 12 news reports that some 3,000 people who returned from abroad have not yet received their PCR test results after over 10 days.
The network says that even as the test facility at the airport has been struggling to keep up with the stream of travelers, the test samples are being processed not at a lab set up at the airport, but at other labs around the country, adding yet more time to the process.
Outgoing Health Ministry Director General Chezy Levy tells the network that the situation at the airport “seems absurd,” saying results should ideally be given within 24 hours.
