7 nabbed for setting up IS-Israel

The Shin Bet security agency announces that it arrested seven residents of the Galilee in November and December of last year on suspicion of organizing an Islamic State cell in Israel.

The suspects, from the northern towns of Nazareth, Sakhnin and Dir Hanna, held secretive meetings in which they discussed “Salafi jihadist” ideology akin to that of the Islamic State and prepared to set out to fight in Syria, the Shin Bet says in a statement.

Among other activities, the Shin Bet says that the group trained by preparing Molotov cocktails and slaughtering animals to steel themselves ahead of beheading infidels in Syria.
