Baratz apologizes for Rivlin, Obama remarks
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleRan Baratz, who was tapped as media adviser and head of public diplomacy and media in the PMO, apologizes for several remarks he made about President Rivlin and US President Obama.
“I apologize for the hurtful things that I published online in relation to the president, the US president and other public officials,” he writes on Facebook.
“I’m sorry I did not update the Prime Minister before. The words that I published were written frivolity and sometimes jokingly, in a manner fit for social networks and a private person,” he says.
Baratz, 42, had said on October 25 that Rivlin was an insignificant personage, after the Israeli leader flew back to Israel from the Czech Republic in coach. He also accused Obama of anti-Semitism earlier this year.
