Bennett appears to take swipe at Netanyahu

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett appears to take a shot at his predecessor Benjamin Netanyahu during an event honoring past premiers and presidents of Israel.

“The ties between the presidents of Israel and prime ministers has known ups and downs over the years, but the strong ties between them are a source of strength in the world, a source of internal resilience within the State of Israel,” he says during the event at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem.

Turning to President Isaac Herzog, Bennett says, “I’m happy, mister president, that today the ties are strong and stable.”

Netanyahu had a notoriously frosty relationship with Herzog’s predecessor Reuven Rivlin, whose term as president ended earlier this month
