Northern District police and Border Police troops raided a building under construction in the northern town of Arraba last weekend, uncovering a stash of weapons, including Glock and Desert Eagle pistols, magazines, and ammunition, police announced in a statement.
A 32-year-old resident was arrested on suspicion of possession, and his questioning is ongoing. Following the discovery, Misgav Police Station commander, Superintendent (Res.) Aner Yosef issued a 30-day closure order for the site.
Authorities say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat serious crime and illegal weapons possession in the region. Since the start of 2025, over 990 weapons have been seized in northern Israel, and several armed cells have been thwarted.
