‘Dozens’ of teams scrambled to new Jerusalem Hills fire
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA forest fire that broke out today in the Ma’ale Hahamisha area is expanding and progressing toward the nearby community of Nataf, which has already been hit by a blaze that started Tuesday.
Many firefighting teams have been scrambled to the scene, including 20 planes.
The planes dispatched from neighboring countries and other allies of Israel are also said to be en route to the site.
None of the houses in Ma’ale Hahamisha or in Nataf are in danger, police say.
Two other large fires broke out in the West Bank, in Dolev and near Shaked. Palestinian and Israeli firefighters are battling the flames there and in other locations in the West Bank.
