EU hopes deal will ‘build confidence in peaceful nature of Iran’s nuke program’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe European Union’s foreign ministers call the Iranian nuclear deal a “historic moment.”
At a meeting in Brussels, the EU’s Foreign Affairs Council says that the deal’s full implementation will “contribute to building international confidence in the exclusively peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program.”
The foreign ministers also say they expect this development to open the door to a “steady improvement in relations” between the EU and Iran, “as well as improved Iranian regional and international relations, and that it will constitute a basis for a more stable and secure region.”
