Far-right MK tells Netanyahu ‘we’re not stupid’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFar-right MK Bezalel Smotrich of the Jewish Home party tells Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the authorization of 2,500 West Bank homes is a sop designed to distract from his refusal to annex parts of the West Bank.
“We are not stupid,” Smotrich tells Israel National News. “This attempt to throw us a media ‘candy’ … is in the best-case scenario an attempt to prevent the extension of sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, and in the worst case forming the basis for the establishment of a ‘Palestinian state-minus.'”
He is referring to a comment from Netanyahu in which he said he would be prepared to give the Palestinians a state with less responsibilities.
