Fatah honors ‘martyr’ who shot 2 dead in Jerusalem terror attack

The Palestinian Fatah Movement, headed by PA President Mahmoud Abbas, posts praise on Facebook of the shooter in today’s deadly terrorist attack in Jerusalem, in which two people were killed.

The posts referred to the attacker as a shahid, an Islamic martyr, according to Palestinian Media Watch.

“The one who carried out the operation today in Jerusalem is a pilgrim [to Mecca] martyr… one of the most prominent people in Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and a released prisoner,” reads one post.

Another declared: “The Jerusalem branch of Fatah announced a strike and mourning for the martyr’s soul. ‘Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.'”
