Russia’s FSB security service has arrested a man who planned to set fire to a synagogue in Yaroslavl, a city northeast of Moscow, Russia’s Izvestia newspaper reports.

The report says the man was arrested after being pushed to the ground by security forces, and that forces found materials to build a Molotov cocktail in a search of his home.

The outlet claims the man was directed by someone in Syria and is a member of a terrorist group. The article includes a statement from the man, who is not named, confessing to the crime.
