IDF opens probe into failed interception of missile that struck Arad

The Israeli Air Force is investigating the failure to intercept the ballistic missile that struck the southern city of Arad a short while ago.
The missile, which is assessed to have carried a conventional warhead with hundreds of kilograms of explosives, injured dozens and caused extensive damage.
The Home Front Command is also conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the impact.
Both the IAF and Home Front Command are also investigating the earlier impact in the nearby city of Dimona, which injured dozens more people.
