Iran executes two accused of spying for Israel during fighting

Iran has executed two of its nationals after accusing them of sending sensitive military information and security location coordinates to Israel during the 12-day war in June and the current war with Iran, state-run media reports.

The charges are detailed by Iran’s Mizan news outlet, which airs footage of the two and screenshots of messages they supposedly sent.

One of the executed individuals was accused of passing coordinates to the administrator of a Telegram channel that the IRGC charges was linked to Israel’s Mossad spy agency, according to Mizan.

The second person, described by Mizan as “one of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s soldiers” is said to have sent information to the Mossad as well as to Iran International, a leading news outlet for dissidents in exile that Tehran accuses of also being an intelligence front.
