Iranian media claims Tehran synagogue damaged by US-Israeli strike; Israel says it is looking into the reports

A synagogue in the center of Iran’s capital was heavily damaged by a US-Israeli projectile today, according to the semi-official news agency Mehr.

The IDF does not immediately comment on the matter, and there is no independent confirmation of the claim.

The Foreign Ministry is looking into the reports, an Israeli official tells The Times of Israel.
