Israeli band A-Wa gets a Rolling Stone profile
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleRolling Stone magazine profiles Israeli band A-Wa, hailing the three sisters’s “blend of darbuka drums, catchy harmonies and hip-hop electronics that deftly and happily transcends the complicated history of Arab-Jewish relations in their home country.”
Tair Haim, the eldest of the three, tells the magazine about the family history, cultural influences and the impact of growing up in their own “little house on the prairie” in southern Israel.
