US climate envoy John Kerry tells Haaretz that “Israel could be extraordinarily helpful in assisting other countries in the region” with developing environmentally sustainable agricultural practices to combat climate change.
Kerry, who butted heads regularly with the Israeli government when he tried to advance the Obama administration’s peace plan as secretary of state, calls Israel a “technology powerhouse.”
He lauds the recent US and UAE brokered water deal Israel signed with Jordan.
