Lapid leading diplomatic effort to demilitarize Gaza
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAccording to a statement from Finance Minister Yair Lapid’s office, he is leading a diplomatic effort to gather world powers and moderate Middle Eastern countries to demilitarize Gaza and ultimately transfer authority to the Palestinian Authority.
Lapid’s office says he is working to convene an international conference to rebuild Gaza and return it to the PA.
The conference would be hosted by Egypt, and would include the United States, the European Union, Russia, Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, Israel and moderate Arab states, including Saudi Arabia.
