Likud MK David Amsalem reportedly threatens party leader Benjamin Netanyahu if he is not given the role of justice minister in the expected incoming government, the Walla news site reports.

Amsalem, known for his brash style, tells other party members at an event last week: “I’ll only be justice minister, if not — I’ll be on his head for four years.”

Amsalem denies the quote, Walla says, citing a statement issued on his behalf. “He doesn’t talk like that about the prime minister-elect and these things are probably a figment of the imagination of one person or another,” the statement says.

Still, sources close to Amsalem say the Justice Ministry is the only ministerial role the MK is interested in; however, if he does not receive it, he will still remain in the Knesset.
