France “strongly condemns” the deadly terror shooting earlier today, says French President Emmanuel Macron on X.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the entire Israeli people,” he writes.

“The spiral of violence must come to an end. Only a political solution will bring back peace and stability for all in the region.”

Macron’s relationship with Israeli leaders has taken a turn for the worse in recent months, as he is leading the campaign to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations later this month.
