Man dies of dehydration during Ein Gedi hike

A 40-year-old man died of dehydration on a hike near the Ein Gedi national park, Walla reports.

The man was hiking in the Arugot River when he collapsed. A team from the park service and police’s rescue unit performed CPR, but eventually pronounced him dead on the scene.

His body was taken out of the national park by helicopter.
