Meretz head: Herzog can’t stay as opposition leader

The head of the left-wing Meretz party Zehava Galon calls on Isaac Herzog to step down as head of the opposition after he is questioned under caution for allegedly receiving illicit campaign funds.

“Herzog cannot continue in the role of chairman of the opposition,” Galon says, according to Channel 2. “Perhaps he needs to suspend himself.”
