Netanyahu, Trump reportedly weighed imposing ‘land blockade’ against Iran

The British Telegraph newspaper reports that US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the possibility of imposing a land blockade on Iran during their meeting this week in the White House.
According to the report, the pair discussed pressuring Iran “through kinetic and non-kinetic means” amid a standoff following months of fighting.
“What if you just blocked the land? Suppose Iran can’t bring anything in and cannot take anything out. Anything will happen,” a senior Israeli official is quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
The newspaper suggests that such an effort could target a number of key crossings into Iran, although considering the country’s size and its number of neighbors, would be largely impossible to fully enforce.
