Today’s hearing in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial will end early once again, due to “diplomatic and security reasons.”
The hearing, coming as the trial passes the six-year mark, will now end at 13:45 instead of 16:00.
Netanyahu’s testimony, which began on December 10, 2024, has been beset by numerous delays, with the premier frequently asking for hearings to be cancelled or cut short.
Netanyahu is being cross examined today on Case 2000, in which he is charged with fraud and breach of trust over allegations he planned an arrangement with Yediot Aharonot publisher Arnon (Noni) Mozes where he would receive more favorable media coverage from the publication and Netanyahu would in return advance legislation to weaken Yediot’s rival, Israel Hayom.
