Neveh Shalom evacuated as forest fire erupts in hills near Jerusalem
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Fire Service says that it is evacuating the community of Neveh Shalom as a fire erupts in the Eshtaol Forest in the hills near Jerusalem.
The service says the move is a precaution as several teams battle the blaze and try and stop it from reaching the community.
The fire comes amid a heatwave and heavy winds that are making it difficult to bring the blaze under control.
Additional firefighting teams from Jerusalem are heading to the area and aircraft are being brought in.
